Quick phone call about 9am to report they just returned from their first tribal encounter. I am going to leave tribal experiences for him to share, I will update their day....he will share it so much better with enthusiasm and excitement. He once again commented on the beauty of the region and the poverty of the families. Expressed that we simply can not imagine how poor it is over there. He is staying in a mud hut with no electricity or running water. He was about to shower by pouring cups of water over him. Makes you look at your hot showers with running water a bit differently! It was about 530pm their time and they were about to eat, shower, sit around and chat and then go to bed. He is journaling his day and is looking forward to sharing with everyone when he gets home...I am sure he will add to this blog. I know this is a short one, however he needed to split his daily phone minutes with me and his sweet son Layne. Have a happy day and thank you for your support!
