Day 2 Journey to Wamba

Nick called on my way to work, what a great way to start the day! He got a good night sleep and was on his 8hr journey to Wamba. They stopped on the way to buy some potatoes and other veggies when he called. I spoke with Johnathan, their driver and understood about 10% of what he said, it was very loud and very fast! He did invite me and Layne to come back with Nick and stay with them...its pretty cool and I am pretty sure we will. Nick said they are between Mt. Kenya and Mt. Kilamanjaro and that it is just beautiful. He said the poverty there is something we can not even imagine and that it is everywhere. He has video of a Kenyan police officer that went to the academy at LSU! They took pics together and exchanged emails. It was 2:30 pm their time and they were just going to head to Wamba, unpack in their mud huts, get situated, get some dinner and just hang out with the locals. Tomorrow begins their day of mission work! I am so excited for him and my fear for his safety has now turned to excitement and anticipation of his next reports! Please respond with your posts and prayers, I told him about the blog and he is excited to see it when he returns. Hugs to you all and God Bless!
