Day 6 in the field day 8 on the trip

Three calls today from Africa! First was to say good morning and Nick was able to speak with Layne, they are both missing each other, was so cute. He had to go because dinner was ready. He called back for about 2 minutes then had to go again because his hot water was ready for his "shower". Then finally around noon (just before he went to bed) we spoke for about 12 minutes. Things went ok last night for them and today as well. They did not get robbed, which was a huge worry for them. The guys that were talking all the talk had "checked out" of the hotel and left. However they overheard that during the day today, another truck was held up and robbed, but they let the people go, just took all of their stuff. Please keep prayers going though, they are not home yet!
They did not find many people today only about 20 or so but all came to Christ. This seems to be the norm when they encounter tribes. Nick mentioned that they are all pretty open to accepting Christ, even the elders, however the Warriors called Morones are completely opposed and claim they "do not need a God", very sad but that seems to be the mentality.
They will be leaving Saturday morning and heading to the Samburu National Forest where apparently there is more wildlife. On Monday they will return to Nairobi where they will stay in a hotel that night and get a "real" shower (yea for them and for the people on their plane!). They leave Kenya Tuesday night...getting close...im looking forward to a hug from my hubby!
God Bless!
